Understanding Your BaZi or Four Pillars Astrology Chart
There are twelve Chinese Zodiac animals and in BaZi, or Four Pillars Astrology, they are blended with one of the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal and water), creating sixty possible combinations. These combinations describe specific energies at a given moment in space and time. In BaZi they describe the combination of specific energies at the time of your birth.
There are four particular energies (animal/element combinations) that are used to help express how your higher self experiences the world of form based on your particular pillars installed at the time of your birth. These pillars will ‘color’ the way you see and experience everything until you cultivate the vision to see beyond the material. Each of the sixty combinations flow well with some other combinations and create friction with others.
These sixty combinations (12 Chinese Zodiac animals and the 5 Elements) are the Chinese Clock. They always move in the same direction, regardless of if it is the cycle of the day, the month, hour, or year. We break the 4 pillars into 2 groups, your Sun & Moon pillars:
Sun Pillars
Year pillar is your outer most self, your ancestral home and resting place, which includes your health and wellness
Day master pillar is your innermost self and the pillar that will most closely describe how you react in your day to day life
Moon Pillars
Month pillar is how you emotionally respond to and see events. The pillar where you feel the world of career and wealth.
Hour pillar is how you respond and show up in regards to sexuality, children and idiosyncrasies in your personality

Although the words here are in English, the original writings are symbols. Just as a picture speaks a thousand words, symbols also have many words to describe their micro and macro meanings.
